I’ve always been fascinated by true crime stories, especially the unsolved cases. The most famous example is the original ‘Jack the Ripper’ who terrorized London’s Whitechapel district in the late 1800s. Who was he? How did he avoid detection? Why did the murders suddenly stop? The case has baffled amateur and professional sleuths for more than a century. There are numerous books on the murders, and on Jack, the most interesting of which is the so-called ‘Diary of Jack the Ripper’ which names the killer and thus definitely solves the Ripper case.
