Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds: ‘More News from Nowhere’ video

“More News from Nowhere”
Offical video for Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds
Directed by Iain Forsyth & Jane Pollard.

Dig that crazy ‘tachioed dude, dancing in the St Kilda Beach t-shirt.

On edit:
In case you didn’t know it, the dark-haired lass who ends up in tears with black eyeliner streaming down her face is Peaches Geldof – a huge Nick Cave fan. I s’pose most of you know that Peaches had “Into My Arms” lyrics tattooed on her lower back last year. That’s devotion for you. Sounds like something Betty Curse would do: “I’d like Nick Cave to sing to me as I bled to death.” In my upper-crusty, conservative corner of blue-blooded Connecticut, Cave fans are rare breed, so I enjoy reading such gossip in the British tabloids.

  1. Hi Debra,

I had heard about Nick being Godfather to Tiger Lily. Hmm. Didn’t he sing “Into My Arms” at Michael Hutchence’s funeral? And Peaches puts a verse from that same song on her back. Strange, or maybe not. I don’t like to read too much into things like that. Some songs are so special, they take on a life of their own.

  2. hi morgan,

yes i noticed peaches geldof in the video. caroline catz – a british actress is in it as well. she has been in episodes of “the bill” and plays “louisa” in doc martin – both british tv shows. i also recognise a man in there but i don’t know his name. nick is also (supposedly) godfather to tiger lily hutchence, sister to peaches.

    regards,
    Debra
