Where the Wild Roses Grow – Nixa

One of my favorite Nixa clips! Nick Cave & Blixa Bargeld singing ‘Where the Wild Roses Grow’, at Midtfyns Festival, Denmark, 2nd July, 1998. Hilarious, drunken, absolutely camp! Wonderful.

  1. Thank you soooooo much! I saw the pictures before but I never had the pleasure to see the video. I appreciate you posting that so much, that really brightened my dull day. 🙂

THANK YOU! I have been trying about everything to download this video, I did what you said and finally I could do it 😀 DownloadHelper didn’t work for me, so I was kind of sad.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

It works. I downloaded 2 videos from this site and 1 from youtube and everything seems OK, so I’m happy 🙂

I don’t think the download helper will work in this case, because a “no-cache” code has been added to the script that embeds the video.

If you type about:cache into the browser (where you usually type web addresses), Firefox will show you where it stores all your cached files (you’ll need to have show/see hidden folders enabled in Windows to get to the cache folder manually). So long as you keep Firefox open on the page of the video, the cached video will not get erased from your computer. It usually has a weird file name – lots of letters and numbers, but you’ll be able to tell that it’s the video by checking the date, time and file size. Just copy it to your desktop/wherever, and rename it with the extension .flv.

(You can do this with all YouTube etc videos – and it saves a lot of bandwidth because you are not downloading a video twice – once to watch and once to keep.)
