  1. Aw, shucks, Devin.

@Vinny – ROTF, re: Blixa’s ‘Night of the Hunter’ look.

I once read a great anecdote about Blixa and his attachment to those hats. I can’t find the reference but here is my best recollection:

The Bad Seeds were at a press event in London, I believe, sometime in the late 90s. Everyone was pretty well lubricated. Evidently, a drunken music journalist walked by Blixa and took his hat. Blixa whirled around, grabbed the guy by the neck, and said: “You can take my children. You can even take my cock. But you … must … never … take … my hat.” Accounts vary as to the exact chain of events but most agree the guy damn near pissed himself.

True story. I’ll try and find the anecodote in case I left anything out. πŸ™‚

  2. Conway looks freaking crazy in these vids. And Blixa, I did the whole “Night of the Hunter” thing you got going on πŸ™‚
I can’t think of many things that are as intense as the band doing Mercy Seat. Every version of the song live is incredible. Pure raw emotion.
