Nick Cave & PJ Harvey – The White Room

Here’s a 90s video fix, with The White Room TV performance of Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and PJ Harvey. You will find a few after the page cut: Are You the One That I’ve Been Waiting For, The Weeping Song, Loverman from Glastonbury 1994 (my favorite live version, a reprise showing).  Indulge me, you know I’m stuck in the 90s when I’m not stuck in the 80s, or for that matter, the 60s.  The 70s, I don’t remember. 😛

  1. I’m happily stuck in the 90s, where Nick is concerned. Thanks for putting these various videos together in one post.

Energy, raw emotion, beautiful ravenlike wings of hair falling in front of his face.

The Bizarre Festival version has equally raw emotion, but it’s a defeated, heartsick, pleading version, whereas this one is purely pissed off and sort of righteous.

    • You’re welcome, SoFarFromMe. I love it when you wax poetic. This is one magnificent beast. It was fresh, coming right out of that ‘leaving Brazil’ energy. Very insightful about the 1996 performance. Two years later a different man.
