Philadelphia City Paper has posted highlights of the press conference.

On the passing of Lou Reed

One of the very foundation stones that’s held up what we believe in, or what my generation believes in, has been taken away. The thing about Lou, for me, was that it isn’t something where I look back at the older records and think ‘What an amazing body of work.’ It was about Lou’s life lived and how extraordinary that was. How challenging that was to people. How polarizing it was, and how exciting it was. It’s a huge loss.

They are also rumoured to be playing at Lollapalooza 2014 Festival (Chicago August 1st-3rd).

  1. Well, that was pretty easy. I got my floor ticket to the San Francisco show through today’s presale. They have some really expensive VIP packages for those interested, but I just stuck with the ticket.

$202 (plus fees) gets you a ticket, a signed poster and a VIP Laminate.
$303 (and fees) gets you the above plus a pre show cocktail party with beverages and snacks. It does not specify if anyone from the band will attend. This seems ridiculously expensive to me, but what do I know.

    I’m happy.

    • Glad you got your ticket!

Yeah I find the VIP package, especially the second one, a bit ridiculous, but if people are willing to spend the money for a special experience, why not? 🙂

In the excitement I got tickets for N.Y. and Philadelphia… Now I just need to sort out how to get there from Belgium! lol
