Nick Cave & Plasticgod Collaboration

Bit of a fun news today, Nick Cave has commissioned Pop Artist Plasticgod to design six limited edition, vinyl toys based on his songs. Only 250 of each designs has been produced by 3DRetro, a producer and retailer of collectible figures.

The toys will premiere this weekend at San Diego Comic Con where the artist will sign the Red Right Hand version from 1pm to 2pm. Location: 3Dretro/DKE booth 5045.

Plasticgod is a Los Angeles based pop artist known for clever parody interpretations of celebrities and pop culture icons in his unique, colorful, mini-figure toy style. Over the past 15 years, his clients and collectors have ranged from A-list celebrities to Fortune 100 companies, including political ambassadors. Having shown in galleries and museums in countries all over the world, Plasticgod continually recognizes the plight of those less fortunate as well, demonstrating his compassion by donating proceeds from the sale of his artistic works to an array of charities and not-for-profit organizations helping those in need.

After Comic Con, the figures will be sold at, and boutique, vinyl stores around the world.

The 6 inches tall figures are expected to retail around $50.
