  3. Sorry – ArialCourier is also me. I sometimes forget to take off my writing hat and put on my music hat. πŸ˜‰

    • Thanks, SoFar. I appreciate you dropping these links. πŸ™‚ Did you have a nice Easter? I actually had a great weekend. The weather was superb. We were all outside working on our tans. Saturday night, I had dinner with my personal ‘Boys Next Door’ (Kevin and Chad). It got fairly cool after dark so we built a fire and talked for hours. People wandered in and out. We’ve got an interesting group of neighbors this year – it’s going to be a wild and crazy summer. YAY!

      • >Did you have a nice Easter?

Yes – Easter fell on my father’s birthday this year, and since he’s a Nick fan too, the rest of the family had to put up with us watching the God is in the House DVD and pretending we were at the show (the tv is certainly big enough). It was bloody freezing down here last night, too – the temperature dropped from the mid-twenties (celsius) to about fifteen degrees. I’m looking forward to a wild winter, next to my fake fireplace. πŸ™‚ (And a good book in hand …)

    • I dont know if you know or/and have seen the film “We`re living on dog food”, i found an excerpt with BND and its interesting that in the comment under the “New Wave I – video” is said, that at 5.20 Alannah Hill is talking (but its Beau? I dunno, maybe Deb knows that ;D) and in the exerpt of “WeΒ΄re living on dog food” she talks very bad about BND *giggles*

      • Anna, thank you for the comment. I will ask Deb. My area is Berlin — I make no claims to any sort of knowledge or expertise outside of it. The Punk/New Age scene in Melbs 70s-80s is Deb’s realm. πŸ™‚ Pending, I guess. *giggles back at you * ;D

      • hi anna,
it is definately beau talking. my other half remembers beau – i don’t tho’. living on dog food is different to this film. alannah hill features in “dog food” which was made in the 80’s. this film – don’t quote me – was made in the 70’s. hope this has cleared up any confusion. feel free to contact me further to discuss if you like. πŸ™‚
        -deb

*on edit: just noticed it says 1980 on the vid.

        • Ah thank you for explaining, than at youtube somebody took beau for alannah right? “WeΒ΄re living on dog food” shows pictures from the melbourne scene in the late seventies/early eighties and alannah hill is talking about BND in 2009 in that film, commenting the time. That film was made last year but the material is very old, rowland is also in it talking about the past. So its simple…its not alannah, its beau. Maybe someone should say that to the owner of “music around us” at youtube πŸ™‚

          • hi anna,

i posted a message at youtube and nzoz has now updated the details to reflect that it is beau.
            regards,
            deb πŸ™‚

          • Oh great, so there won`t be other confused people like me, hehe. Thank you again for explaining everything to me πŸ™‚

  4. More rare videos on youtube – the Santiago Crazy Rock festival ’96 (all Nixa fans will love the end of The Ship Song), and an interesting interview. All here:

    http://www.youtube.com/user/pvblovideos

(Extra info on this concert can be found at Nick Cave Collector’s Hell.)

  5. Rare Videos uploaded to YouTube:

Nick Cave – In the ghetto (Dutch TV 1984)

Nick Cave – The Singer (live 1986)

Nick Cave – Straight to You (Documentary excerpt early years) (*NOTE: Berlin)

    Tx to YouTuber, jokkoapa6

    • Oh that video is totally great. Whats wrong with him and the audience? He seems to be really mad to some extent…throwing his microphone away, leaving the stage during “Red Right Hand” and calling someone “Ugly little fucker” ;D Great πŸ˜€

      • oh this should be an answer for the “Crazy Rock Festival” video, i`m sorry, i clicked the wrong button.

        • Ahaha talking to myself πŸ˜€

I read it at Collectors Hell, really fucked audience calling for Cypress Hill *g*

      • Anna, sorry about not responding. I had a social thing going on. I guess nobody else feels like talking. I’m glad you enjoyed Crazy Rock. You don’t often get to see “Willow Garden” live. FYI: I’m going to move this conversation thread to the main page because the comments don’t nest correctly on the BB.
*MOVED THREAD TO THE MAIN BOARD: “Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds: Crazy Rock” (9 Apr 2010)
